Date and time calculation tools

Last updated September 6, 2026

CloudCalcApp's date and time calculators handle the calendar arithmetic that is easy to get wrong by hand - leap years, months of different lengths, and time zones all matter. The Age Calculator takes a date of birth and returns an exact age broken into years, months, and days, plus how many days remain until the next birthday, using a calendar-aware calculation rather than a rough "days divided by 365".

The reason the exact method matters: a year is not a fixed number of days, so "27 years, 4 months, and 12 days" cannot be recovered by dividing a total day count. The calculator instead counts whole years from the birth date, then whole months, then the leftover days, borrowing from the previous month's real length when a day count goes negative - the same way you would subtract dates on paper. February 29 birthdays are handled explicitly, rolling to February 28 in non-leap years.

The result is computed in your browser with no data sent anywhere, and every figure is explained so you can follow how the date difference was worked out. More date and time tools - duration between two dates, adding or subtracting days, and workday counts - are planned for this section.
